About Colter Wall
Colter Wall is a country and western songwriter from southern Saskatchewan. His official catalog connects Imaginary Appalachia, his self-titled album, Songs of the Plains, and Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs. The titles alone are an invitation to investigate which traditions and places each record draws upon, rather than treating “country” as one uniform sound.
Inside Little Songs
The selection here centers on Little Songs, released in July 2023. Its label announcement documents a recording connection to Texas and a writing connection to the Canadian West. Those are different relationships: where music is recorded, where a musician lives, and where a song is set need not be the same place.
