About Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton grew up in Johnson County in eastern Kentucky. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s account of his career places songwriting and studio work alongside his later solo recordings. That perspective matters for discovery: the name on the front of an album is only one part of its musical story.

Inside Higher

Our historical starting point is Higher, released in November 2023. Stapleton shares its production credit with Dave Cobb and Morgane Stapleton. His official discography also provides a path through Traveller, the two From A Room records, and Starting Over; readers can use that source to keep exploring beyond this deliberately small selection.
