Recordings are a bounded selection, and playlist and radio tables may show only part of the available results. A first check establishes a baseline; a later observed change is not proof of when an event began or what caused audience growth.
Playlist positions concern individual songs. Monitored radio plays are not total radio audience. Streams, listeners and playlist subscribers are different measures.

THE ARTIST / EDITORIAL PROFILE
Colby T. Helms was raised in the Blue Ridge foothills of Southwest Virginia. His website says he launched his career as a teenager, writing raw and ragged songs drawn from the people, places, stories and struggles that shaped him. The same biography describes his sound through Appalachian roots and years spent performing in folk settings.
One for the Losers is Helms’ second album. The official description says the dozen-track record widens its view beyond the songwriter’s own experience to examine overlooked and misunderstood characters he has encountered. Its subjects include troubled friends, fallen mentors and working-class Virginians trying to survive difficult circumstances.
Helms says he wrote his first album while he was still in high school. He then spent a few years on the road, playing those songs every night. The website places that work alongside appearances at folk festivals, fiddlers’ conventions, campgrounds and dive bars.
Whiskey Twang’s Signals observation recorded Helms at rank 24 with a score of 76.4, based on an audience observation dated September 21, 2026. That is our scored discovery-board entry, not an industry-wide chart position or an explanation of what caused the measured audience movement.
Facts last checked September 24, 2026.
