Crowe Boys.

Crowe Boys are brothers Ocie and Wes Crowe, a Louisiana duo built around acoustic guitar and mandolin. Their official biography traces a childhood of family music, a move toward New Orleans and an earlier attempt at an indie punk band before the acoustic direction took shape. Made to Wander is their debut album, containing ten original songs drawn from their lives.

Start with Bootstraps

Bootstraps provides a straightforward place to begin. The duo’s account connects the album opener with Ocie’s experience of financial uncertainty and a job offer falling through as his family expected another child. Where Did I Go Wrong offers another introduction: the brothers describe its creation as a turning point toward writing about their own circumstances.

The players behind Made to Wander

The album’s background also leads to Andrew Campanelli of The Revivalists, who helped record the duo after hearing their songs. Wes’s move toward mandolin became part of the configuration now presented in the band’s biography. Those details give a newcomer concrete things to follow through the songs and credits.

Americana recognition—and what to hear next

Crowe Boys received a 2026 Americana Honors & Awards Emerging Act of the Year nomination and were listed among AMERICANAFEST’s official 2026 showcasing artists. Their official website links Made to Wander, individual recordings and videos. Start with Bootstraps, then give the album a full pass to place that opening song beside the family experiences that shape the rest of the record.
